Brief History on Robotics

Scientist is always finding new technology to enhance the lives of every moving creature on this earth. Robots were made with the intention to perform task usually done by humans. In medicine, robots are used to perform surgeries on humans. Oddly, some operations are done by doctors living in one part of the world to a patient in another part of the world. “The surgeon’s ability to control the mechanism is enhanced by providing force feedback to the controls, allowing the operator to have a sense of touch to help control the robot.”
Robots have made their make in the medical field. They are precise, sturdy, and careful. As long as their instructed correctly, operations go smooth without failure.
“SURGERY:
Because robots are able to perform major operations while only making small incisions, patients receive many benefits: lessened trauma, fewer infections, decreased healing time, and a faster discharge from the hospital. Robots are used to perform heart surgery without opening patient’s chests.
EDUCATION:
Robots are currently used to test medical students. Pregnant humanoid robots, for instance, prepare students for various birth complications.
ADMINISTRATION:
Robots are also affecting the way hospitals are run and medications distributed. They make sure hospital visits are shorter and the risk of infection minimized.”
The advantages of robots assisting in medical procedure are limitless. They are quick and efficient, they minimize abrasions, they are safe, and they help minimize blood lost during a procedure. I can go on and on about the advantages, but there are too many things to name.
It can be quite daunting for a surgeon to perform an operation. The process is long and tedious. Robots take the pressure of the surgeon because they don’t have feelings. They don’t get sleepy, fatigue, nervous or fidgety.
Robots are the latest phenomenon in medicine, and are not regularly used. However, they are becoming more and more popular, because of the effectiveness they have during an operation. In years to come, robots are going to be the primary medical equipment that will be used in the operating room all across the world. It is still in the formative years, but medical robots will soon mature and a lot of lives will be saved.
